STR Bookings & iCal Sync
Manage your short-term rental bookings and automatically sync from Airbnb, VRBO, and other platforms.
Note: Bookings and iCal sync are available on the STR plan. Your property must be set up as a Short-Term Rental to access these features.
Adding Bookings Manually
Go to STR → Bookings and click + Add Booking. For each booking, you can enter:
- Guest name — who's staying
- Check-in & check-out dates — the stay period
- Number of guests
- Platform — Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Direct, or Other
- Nightly rate & total payout
- Status — Confirmed, Pending, Cancelled, or Completed
- Notes — special requests, late check-in, etc.
Booking Overview
The bookings page shows stats at the top including total bookings, upcoming bookings, and total revenue. Below that, all bookings are listed with:
- Guest name and platform badge (color-coded by platform)
- Check-in and check-out dates
- Number of nights and guests
- Payout amount
- Status badge
- A purple Synced badge for bookings imported via iCal
Click any booking to edit its details or update its status.
iCal Feed Sync
Instead of manually entering every booking, you can connect your Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com calendar feeds to automatically import bookings.
The iCal Feeds card appears at the top of your bookings page. Here you can:
- Add new iCal feed URLs
- See the sync status of each feed
- Manually trigger a sync
- Edit or remove feeds
Setting Up an iCal Feed
Step 1: Get your iCal URL from your booking platform:
- Airbnb: Go to your listing → Availability → scroll down to “Connect to another website” → copy the “Export Calendar” link
- VRBO: Go to your listing → Calendar → Import/Export → copy the iCal export URL
- Booking.com: Go to Calendar → Sync calendars → copy the iCal link
Step 2: On your Keen Owner bookings page, click + Add Feedin the iCal Feeds card. Paste the URL — the platform is detected automatically.
Step 3: Give it a name (e.g., “Airbnb - Beach House”) and save.
Step 4: Click Sync Now to import bookings immediately, or wait for the automatic daily sync.
How Sync Works
When a feed is synced, Keen Owner:
- Fetches the latest calendar data from your platform
- Parses guest names from booking summaries (when available)
- Creates new bookings for events not already in your list
- Updates existing synced bookings if dates changed
- Skips blocked/unavailable dates (owner blocks are not imported)
- Never overwrites bookings you created manually
Feeds sync automatically once per day. You can also manually sync any feed by clicking Sync Now (available every 5 minutes).
