Managing Items

Go to Items → + Add Item to create a new item. You can fill in:

• Name (required) — what the item is, e.g., “Samsung 65" TV”
• Icon — pick an emoji to make it easy to spot in lists
• Photo — upload an image of the item
• Location — which room or area it's in
• Category — e.g., Electronics, Furniture, Appliances, Tools
• Brand, Model, Serial Number — useful for warranties and insurance claims
• Purchase Date & Price — track when you bought it and what it cost
• Notes — any additional details

Only the name is required — fill in as much or as little as you want. You can always add more details later.

The + Add Purchase button on your dashboard is a faster way to log new items. It's optimized for when you just bought something and want to quickly record it with the purchase date, price, and receipt.

Your items page shows all items as a grid of cards. Each card displays the item's icon or photo, name, and location.

Use the filter bar at the top to search by name, brand, model, or serial number. Results update as you type.

You can also use the global search (Cmd+K / Ctrl+K) to find items from any page.

Click on any item to view its full details. The item detail page shows:

• Photo and basic info (name, location, category)
• Purchase details (date, price, store)
• Brand, model, and serial number
• Warranty information (manufacturer and extended)
• Maintenance schedules linked to this item
• Notes

Click Edit to update any field, or Delete to remove the item.

On the Home or STR plan, you can bulk-import items from a CSV file. Click the Import CSV button on the items page.

Your CSV should include columns for:

• Name (required)
• Category, Brand, Model, Serial Number
• Location name
• Purchase date and price
• Notes

The import will preview your data before creating items. Locations that don't exist yet will be created automatically.

The number of items you can track depends on your plan:

• Free — 25 items
• Home — 250 items
• STR — Unlimited

When you approach your limit, a warning banner appears. Items beyond your limit are hidden behind a blurred overlay until you upgrade.
