Household Members
Share access to your property with family members, partners, or co-hosts.
Why Add Members?
Adding household members lets multiple people manage the same property. Common use cases include:
- Couples or families — both partners can track items and manage maintenance
- STR co-hosts — share access with your property manager or co-host
- Roommates — everyone can see and update shared inventory
All members can view and manage items, locations, maintenance, and (for STR properties) bookings, expenses, and work orders.
Inviting Members
Go to Members in the sidebar (or STR → Membersfor STR properties). Click + Invite Member.
Enter the person's email address. They'll receive an invitation email with a link to join your property. If they don't have a Keen Owner account yet, they'll be prompted to create one.
Once they accept the invitation, they'll see your property in their dashboard and can start contributing right away.
Roles & Permissions
Members have the following roles:
- Owner — the person who created the property. Owners have full control including billing, deleting the property, and managing other members.
- Member — invited users who can view and manage all items, locations, maintenance, bookings, and expenses. Members cannot change billing or delete the property.
Managing Members
On the members page, you can see all current members and pending invitations. As the property owner, you can:
- Remove a member — revoke their access to your property
- Cancel a pending invitation — if they haven't accepted yet
- Resend an invitation — if the original email was missed
Removing a member does not delete any items or data they created — everything stays with the property.
Access Across Properties
If you're a member of multiple properties (e.g., you own one and are invited to another), you can switch between them from the property selector in your account settings.
Each property has its own items, locations, maintenance schedules, and bookings. Your membership in one property doesn't affect another.
