Who We Are

Keen Owner ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") provides a SaaS web application that helps property owners keep track of their items (the "Service"). We are based in Indiana, United States, and this Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information of users in the United States.

Personal Data We Collect

  • Account information: When you sign up or log in, you may do so via Google, Facebook, or Apple OAuth. We receive your name and email address from the provider you choose.
  • Usage data: We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and pages viewed to operate and secure the Service.

How We Collect Data

  • Directly from you: When you create an account and use the Service.
  • From third parties: When you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, the provider shares your name and email with us according to your account settings with that provider. Apple may let you hide your real email address behind a private relay address.

How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including authenticating you via Google, Facebook, or Apple OAuth.
  • Communicate with you, including transactional messages (service notifications, account-related emails) and marketing messages such as newsletters and product updates (where permitted by law and your preferences).
  • Monitor and improve the Service, including using analytics to understand feature usage and performance.

Analytics, Cookies, and Consent

We use the following analytics services to understand how users interact with the Service and to monitor for errors:

  • Google Analytics: Collects information such as pages visited and time on page. May set cookies (e.g. _ga, _gid).
  • Sentry: Captures error reports and performance data to help us fix bugs and improve reliability.
  • Vercel Speed Insights: Collects anonymous page-load performance metrics.

None of these services are loaded unless you consent. When you first visit the Service, a consent banner asks whether you accept or decline analytics tracking. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to these services.

Your consent choice is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in, it is also saved to your account so it persists across devices. You can change your preference at any time in your account settings under Privacy.

On iOS, the Service also requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before enabling analytics, in accordance with Apple's requirements.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details; Stripe handles card data according to its own privacy and security practices.

User-Uploaded Content

Users may upload images related to their items within the Service. These images are intended to be accessible only to the uploading user within their account and are not publicly displayed or shared with other users by default.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share personal data with:

  • Service providers who assist with hosting, analytics, payments, and email delivery, under agreements that limit their use of the data.
  • Authorities if required to comply with law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the Company.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. If you request deletion of your account, we will manually delete your personal data and user-uploaded images within a reasonable period, subject to any data we must retain for legal or accounting purposes.

Your Choices and Rights

Because the Service is intended for US users only, this Policy focuses on US laws. You can:

  • Update some account details through your account (where available) or by contacting us.
  • Manage analytics consent at any time via the consent banner on your first visit, or in your account settings under Privacy. Declining disables all third-party analytics.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our analytics services are opt-in — they are not loaded unless you provide affirmative consent.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to or intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can remove it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data within our organization. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

International Use

The Service is intended for users in the United States only, and data is processed in the United States. If you choose to use the Service from outside the US, you do so at your own initiative and risk.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or applicable law. If changes are material, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
